For Pipeline

Flanged‑end Sleeve Type Thermal Expansion Joint For Pipeline

DN20-DN1200
The sleeve compensator, also known as the packing box type compensator or the sliding type compensator, is a commonly used compensating device in thermal pipeline systems. Its core function is to absorb the axial displacement (sometimes including a small amount of radial displacement) caused by thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline, thereby releasing the thermal stress on the pipeline, supports, and equipment, and ensuring their safety.

Product Description
The sleeve compensator, also known as the packing box type compensator or the sliding type compensator, is a commonly used compensating device in thermal pipeline systems. Its core function is to absorb the axial displacement (sometimes including a small amount of radial displacement) caused by thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline, thereby releasing the thermal stress on the pipeline, supports, and equipment, and ensuring their safety.
Main Structure and Composition
Outer pipe: Welded to one end of the pipeline, it serves as the main shell of the compensator.
Inner tube (core tube): Welded to the other end of the pipe, it can freely expand and contract within the outer tube.
Sealing packing: It is placed in the annular gap between the inner and outer sleeves, and is the key to ensuring the seal. Commonly used materials include graphite rings, packing, or high-temperature resistant synthetic materials.
Filler gasket (pressure ring): By applying pressure with bolts, the sealing filler is compressed and tightly adheres to the inner and outer pipe walls, forming a seal.
Guide bearing/limit ring: Prevents the inner sleeve from deviating or extending excessively during sliding, ensuring its linear movement.
Anti-detachment Device: Prevents the inner tube from completely detaching from the outer tube when subjected to pressure or expansion.
Main features
Large compensation amount: Compared to natural compensation and certain other types of compensators, the compensation distance of a single-stage sleeve compensator is longer (usually up to 150-400mm or even larger), and it is highly suitable for long-distance straight pipe sections.
Small space occupation: The structure is compact, and the space required for installation is much smaller than that of compensators such as π-type and Ω-type, having little impact on pipeline layout.
Low fluid resistance: The inner wall is smooth, allowing the medium to flow smoothly with a small pressure drop.
High pressure resistance: The structure is sturdy and can withstand high working pressure.
The cost is relatively low: The structure is simple, and the manufacturing cost is usually lower than that of bellows compensators.
