Flanged Concentric Eccentric Reducing Rubber Expansion Joint, Flexible Rubber Reducer Joint, PN10 PN16, EPDM NBR for Pipe Vibration Isolation
Our concentric & eccentric flanged reducing rubber expansion joint, also named flexible rubber reducer joint, reducing rubber compensator or rubber reducing bellows, is engineered for pipeline connections where the inlet and outlet nominal diameters are different. Unlike straight rubber expansion joints, this reducer type integrates the functions of diameter transition and flexible compensation in one single component, which simplifies the piping layout and saves installation space.
This highly elastic rubber element can absorb axial compression/extension, lateral offset and angular deflection caused by thermal expansion & contraction, cold shrinkage, foundation subsidence and equipment misalignment. It efficiently isolates vibration and blocks noise transmission from pumps, fans, compressors and other rotating equipment to the whole pipeline system. Meanwhile, it releases thermal stress inside the pipe network, protecting valves, flow meters, pressure gauges, flanges and other precision fittings from fatigue crack and mechanical impact.
A wide range of rubber body materials are optional to adapt to diverse media and working conditions:
- EPDM: Outstanding heat resistance, aging resistance and resistance to weak acid & alkali. Suitable for cold/hot water, freshwater, sewage and weak corrosive fluids.
- NBR: Excellent oil resistance, widely used for diesel, lubricating oil and general oil medium pipelines.
- CR (Neoprene): Good weather resistance and flame retardancy, fit for outdoor exposed pipelines.
- Natural rubber: High elasticity, low cost, for clean normal-temperature water.
The flange can be produced according to GB, ANSI, DIN, BS standards. Standard pressure classes include PN10 and PN16. Custom pressure, special sizes, non-standard reducing ratios and special flange faces are acceptable based on your drawings or technical data.
The product features reliable sealing, large compensation capacity, low stiffness, no rigid stress, easy and fast installation. No welding or special tools are required during field assembly. It will not cause extra burden on the pipeline support system.
It is widely adopted in water supply & drainage, HVAC, fire protection engineering, petroleum, chemical industry, power plants, mining, food processing and other industrial piping systems. It is a cost-effective and mature solution for pipe diameter transition, vibration isolation and displacement compensation.
