Clamp Type Rubber Expansion Ball Joint
Clamp Type Rubber Expansion Ball Joint, also called clamp-on rubber flexible joint, is a flangeless spherical rubber compensator connected by high-strength stainless steel clamps. It serves as an ideal substitute for traditional flanged rubber expansion joints, especially for piping systems with limited installation space or frequent disassembly demands.
The rubber sphere is reinforced with multi-layer high-tensile nylon cord fabric and compounded with rubber layers. Available rubber materials include EPDM, NBR, Neoprene (CR), NR and Hypalon, which are compatible with water, sewage, seawater, oil and mildly corrosive liquids. The rubber body boasts great elasticity, reliable sealing, outstanding aging resistance and superior vibration damping performance.
This joint can absorb axial extension and compression, lateral offset as well as angular deflection caused by thermal expansion, foundation settlement and installation misalignment. It efficiently isolates vibration transferred from pumps, fans and other rotating equipment to pipelines and reduces fluid noise inside pipes, protecting valves, meters and pipe fittings against vibration damage.
Different from flanged rubber joints, this clamp type design removes flanges and bolt holes. No flange welding, bolt hole alignment or extra gaskets are needed during installation. Stainless steel clamps allow fast on-site assembly and disassembly, cutting construction time and simplifying inspection and replacement. Light weight and compact dimension make it perfect for narrow pipe compartments and temporary pipeline connections.
Manufactured in compliance with EJMA standards and relevant piping specifications. Every joint passes air tightness and pressure tests before shipment. It is widely used in water supply and drainage, HVAC, water treatment, marine piping, mining, food processing and industrial circulating water systems.
