EPDM / NBR Reducing Rubber Expansion Joint

Reducing rubber expansion joint, also known as reducer rubber flexible joint or size‑transition rubber bellows, is supplied in concentric reducingandeccentric reducing types. It is designed for connecting pipelines of different diameters. The rubber body adopts EPDM or NBR material with high‑strength nylon cord fabric reinforcement layer. Carbon steel or stainless steel flanges are optional to match diverse working conditions. Besides realizing diameter transition, this joint compensates axial, radial and angular displacement caused by thermal expansion‑contraction and foundation settlement. It isolates vibration from pumps and units, lowers pipeline noise and absorbs water hammer impact. It prevents stress concentration which would damage pipes, pumps and valves. Widely applied in water supply & drainage, municipal sewage, seawater treatment, oil delivery and chemical fluid piping for industrial and civil projects, featuring easy installation, convenient maintenance and stable sealing performance.

EPDM (Ethylene‑Propylene‑Diene Monomer): Outstanding acid‑alkali resistance, anti‑aging, seawater and weather resistance, anti‑UV. Suitable for clean water, sewage, seawater and weak corrosive media. Working temperature range:‑40℃ ~ +120℃, commonly used in water circulation and sewage treatment systems. NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber): Excellent resistance to mineral oil, diesel and lubricating oil, good anti‑swelling performance against grease. Suitable for oil transmission pipelines. Working temperature range:‑30℃ ~ +110℃, widely used for diesel, lube oil and hydraulic oil delivery. Built‑in high‑strength cord fabric reinforcement improves pressure resistance and avoids bulging or tearing under high‑pressure working conditions.
