Product Overview

This large‑diameter rubber expansion joint is fitted with adjustable limit tie‑rods, specially designed for heavy‑duty large‑size piping systems. It compensates axial, lateral and angular displacement caused by thermal expansion, installation deviation or foundation settlement. The tie‑rod assembly serves as safety protection against over‑stretching and joint pull‑off under water hammer and huge pipeline thrust, which is critical for DN800 and above pipelines.

Main Structure

  • Rubber body: Flanged full‑faced rubber sphere with embedded steel reinforcement ring. Available in EPDM, NBR, NR and CR for different medium and temperature conditions.
  • Flange: Carbon steel / stainless steel flange, compliant with GB, ANSI B16.5, GOST, AWWA C207 standards; RF or FF sealing face optional.
  • Limit tie‑rod assembly: High‑strength tie‑rods with double lock nuts and spherical washers, symmetrically arranged. The gap can be adjusted on‑site to allow normal displacement of rubber joint.

Key Performance

  • Nominal diameter: DN300‑DN3000
  • Pressure rating: PN6 / PN10 / PN16
  • Working temperature: -25℃ ~ +80℃ (EPDM material)
  • Absorbs pipeline vibration and noise, reduces stress on pumps, valves and equipment.

Application Scope

Widely applied in water supply & drainage plants, circulating water pipelines for power plants, cooling tower systems, seawater pipelines and pump outlet lines where water‑hammer impact and large pipeline thrust exist.

Installation Reminder

Adjust tie‑rod nuts to reserve proper displacement gap after installation. Do NOT lock tie‑rods tightly, otherwise the compensation function will be invalid. Avoid direct contact between tie‑rods and rubber sphere surface.
