304/316 DN25-DN250 Flanged Stainless Steel Metal Bellows Metal Hose

DN25-DN250.
This product is a flanged stainless steel flexible metal hose assembly designed for industrial piping systems requiring vibration absorption, thermal expansion compensation, and misalignment correction. It combines a corrugated stainless steel inner core with optional wire braiding for pressure reinforcement, terminated with flanged end connections for secure, leak-resistant installation.

Materials of Construction
The hose core is manufactured from austenitic stainless steel in grades 304 or 316L. The corrugated inner tube provides flexibility and resistance to thermal cycling. When braiding is specified, the outer reinforcement layer is typically made from 304 stainless steel wire. Flanges are available in stainless steel or carbon steel depending on application requirements.
Size Range and Dimensions
The assembly is available in nominal diameters from DN25 to DN250, covering the mid-to-large bore range for industrial flow capacities. Standard sizes within this range include DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, and DN200 through DN250. Custom lengths are manufactured according to buyer requirements, with typical overall lengths determined by the number of corrugations and the specified movement capability.
Construction Details
The inner core is formed from seamless or welded stainless steel tubing shaped into annular corrugations parallel to one another, providing axial flexibility without torsional stress. The corrugation profile allows the hose to absorb pipe movement, dampen vibration, and compensate for installation misalignment.
When supplied with braiding, the outer layer consists of one or two layers of stainless steel wire braid. The braid serves two functions: it restrains hose elongation under internal pressure and dampens vibration transmission. A double braid construction increases pressure rating capacity compared to a single braid at the cost of reduced flexibility.
Flange Connections
Flanges are attached to the hose ends by welding and can be supplied in loose or fixed configurations depending on installation preferences. Standard flange drilling patterns include DIN, ANSI, JIS, and GOST, allowing compatibility with a wide range of international piping systems. For European installations, flanges conforming to EN 1092-1 are available for sizes DN25 and above.
Pressure and Temperature Performance
Working pressure ratings vary with nominal diameter, braid configuration, and operating temperature. Smaller diameters with double braid construction can achieve working pressures up to approximately 40 MPa at ambient temperatures, while larger diameters in the DN150–DN250 range typically carry working pressures in the 10–20 bar range. Test pressures are generally 1.5 times the rated working pressure.
The assembly operates effectively across a temperature range from approximately -196°C to 450°C for standard stainless steel construction. This covers cryogenic applications through to high-temperature steam and process media service.
Applications
This flanged metal hose is suitable for conveying liquids, gases, and steam across industries including chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, shipbuilding, and general industrial piping. It is commonly installed at pump connections, turbine inlets, and between fixed equipment and moving pipe sections where vibration isolation and thermal movement accommodation are required.
