Large diameter metal corrugated compensator, also known as large-size metal expansion joint, is a high-reliability flexible pressure-bearing component specially designed for heavy-duty, large-bore industrial pipeline systems. It is professionally engineered to solve thermal deformation, mechanical vibration, foundation settlement and assembly deviation problems in long-distance and large-caliber piping operation, which cannot be effectively eliminated by rigid pipe fittings.
The product is mainly composed of multi-layer integral hydroformed metal bellows, carbon steel or stainless steel connecting ends (flange type or weld end type), limit protection rods, bolts, sealing surfaces and auxiliary protective structures. The bellows core is manufactured from premium stainless steel materials such as 304, 316L, 321 and 2205 duplex steel, featuring excellent pressure resistance, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance. Compared with ordinary small-diameter compensators, large-diameter series adopts optimized waveform structure and thickened integral forming technology, ensuring overall structural stability under large displacement and high flow rate working conditions.
This type of compensator can comprehensively absorb and compensate multi-dimensional displacements generated during pipeline operation, including axial telescopic displacement, transverse lateral displacement and angular deflection displacement. It can effectively release thermal stress caused by temperature rise and fall of conveying medium and ambient environment, avoid excessive stress concentration, pipe body deformation, interface cracking and equipment loosening. In addition, the metal corrugated structure can significantly reduce pipeline system vibration and noise generated by medium flow, pressure fluctuation and mechanical equipment operation, realizing vibration isolation and buffer protection for the entire piping system.
Applicable to large-diameter piping with DN300–DN6000 specifications, the compensator adapts to complex working conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, medium pressure and micro-negative pressure. It is compatible with various conveying media including hot water, steam, compressed air, natural gas, industrial flue gas, petroleum products, chemical fluid and circulating water. With standardized structural design, strict dimensional tolerance control and reliable pressure-bearing performance, it can adapt to long-term continuous operation in harsh industrial environments such as power generation, thermal heating, petrochemical, metallurgy, mining, municipal engineering, environmental protection dust removal and industrial ventilation.
Equipped with limit rod devices as standard configuration, the product can effectively restrict the maximum allowable expansion and contraction stroke of the bellows, prevent over-displacement damage caused by unexpected pressure impact or external force extrusion, and greatly improve the safety and anti-failure ability of the pipeline system. Customizable structures such as straight pipe pressure balance type, hinge type, universal type and sleeve type are available to meet different displacement compensation requirements and pipeline layout conditions.
All products adopt integral one-time forming process without welding seam on the wave body, which avoids hidden dangers of weld cracking and medium leakage.
