DN100 Floating Flanged Rubber Expansion Joint

DN100
The DN100 Floating Flanged Rubber Expansion Joint is a high-performance molded spherical flexible connector designed for rigid piping systems. Its primary functions are to absorb multi-directional pipe movement, reduce mechanical vibration, and compensate for thermal expansion and contraction.
The key feature of this product is its floating (Vanstone-type) flange design. The flanges can rotate 360° independently from the rubber body, which completely eliminates the common problem of bolt-hole misalignment during installation. This significantly reduces installation time and labor costs, especially in confined spaces or when connecting to existing pipelines with slight offset errors.

**Construction and Materials**
The rubber body consists of three integrated layers. The inner liner is a homogeneous elastomeric layer that directly contacts the conveyed media, providing a reliable leak-proof seal and chemical resistance. The reinforcement layer is composed of multiple plies of high-tenacity nylon cord fabric, tightly bonded with rubber to deliver excellent burst strength and pressure-bearing capacity. The outer cover is an ozone- and weather-resistant rubber compound that protects the joint from environmental aging, UV radiation, and atmospheric corrosion.
The floating flanges are precision-forged from high-quality carbon steel and treated with anti-corrosion coating. Stainless steel flanges are also available upon request. The unique floating feature allows the flanges to rotate freely around the rubber sphere, making bolt-hole alignment effortless and eliminating the need for repeated hoisting or adjustment during installation.

**Key Features and Advantages**
Exceptional installation convenience. The floating flange design allows the bolt holes to be rotated freely to match any mating flange orientation. A single worker can complete the installation without heavy lifting equipment or time-consuming adjustments.
Multi-directional compensation capability. This single joint simultaneously accommodates axial compression, axial extension, lateral misalignment, and angular deflection, making it versatile for complex piping layouts.
Effective vibration and noise reduction. The highly elastic rubber body efficiently isolates and attenuates vibration transmitted from pumps and rotating equipment. It also absorbs pulsation noise from fluid flow, protecting sensitive downstream instruments and extending equipment service life.
Excellent pressure and vacuum resistance. The reinforced structure ensures the joint maintains its shape under high positive pressure without bulging, and equally important, it resists collapse or deformation under negative pressure or vacuum conditions.
