DN200 Double Spheres EPDM/NBR/Hypalon Rubber Expansion Joint

DN200+
The DN200 Double Sphere Rubber Expansion Joint is a high-performance, multi-axial flexible connector engineered for pipeline systems requiring vibration absorption, noise reduction, and compensation for thermal movement and misalignment. Its double-sphere design provides greater displacement capability than single-sphere configurations, making it an ideal solution for complex piping networks in demanding industrial environments.

## Key Material Options
The product is available in three premium elastomer compounds, each selected to match specific operating conditions:
**EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)**
- Optimal for water, hot water, seawater, cooling water with salt solutions, and diluted acids and alkalis
- Excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, UV radiation, and oxygen attack
- Temperature range: -35°C to +100°C (special HT grades up to +140°C available)
- Not suitable for petroleum-based oils or hydrocarbon media
**NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)**
- Designed for oil and fuel applications, mineral oils, greases, and hydrocarbon media
- Good mechanical properties with high tensile strength, flexibility, and abrasion resistance
- Temperature range: -40°C to +90°C (HT grades up to +140°C)
- Not recommended for hot water or steam service
**Hypalon (Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene – CSM)**
- Superior resistance to strong and concentrated acids, bases, and aggressive chemical media
- Outstanding resistance to oxidation and extreme atmospheric conditions
- Self-extinguishing properties with excellent ozone and sunlight resistance
- Temperature range: -25°C to +90°C
## Construction and Design Features
The double sphere expansion joint consists of a robust rubber body incorporating an inner liner, multiple layers of high-strength nylon cord fabric reinforcement, and an outer rubber cover, vulcanized into a seamless integral unit. The reinforced synthetic cord plies provide pressure-bearing capability while maintaining exceptional flexibility. Floating flanges in carbon steel (painted or galvanized) or stainless steel are standard, drilled to ANSI, DIN, JIS, or GB/T standards.
## Performance Capabilities – DN200 (8-inch)
The DN200 size offers substantial displacement compensation to protect piping systems from thermal expansion, equipment vibration, and settlement-induced stress:
- **Nominal Length**: 325 mm
- **Axial Extension**: 35 mm
- **Axial Compression**: 50 mm
- **Lateral Displacement**: 40 mm
- **Angular Deflection**: 35°
- **Flange Bolt Holes**: 8 holes, 22 mm diameter on 295 mm bolt circle
- **Flange Thickness**: 24 mm
## Pressure and Temperature Ratings
- **Working Pressure**: Up to 2.5 MPa (25 bar) depending on service conditions
- **Burst Pressure**: 4.5 MPa (45 bar)
- **Vacuum Rating**: 86.7 kPa (650 mm Hg) with internal vacuum ring option
- **Temperature Range**: -15°C to +115°C standard; special compounds available from -30°C to +250°C
