Double Sphere Rubber Expansion Joint, also known as double ball flexible rubber compensator, is a specialized elastic connecting component designed for industrial pipeline systems. Different from single sphere expansion joints, its dual convex spherical structure delivers remarkably larger compensation stroke for axial compression/extension, lateral deflection and angular rotation, solving displacement issues caused by pipeline thermal expansion & contraction, foundation settlement, equipment vibration and installation misalignment.

Constructed with multi-layer composite structure, the product consists of inner rubber layer, high-strength nylon cord reinforcement layer, pressure-resistant steel wire ring and outer protective rubber layer. The integrated vulcanization molding process ensures tight bonding between all layers, boosting overall pressure resistance, structural stability and anti-tearing performance. Built-in steel retaining rings prevent the rubber body from bulging or detachment under medium pressure, effectively extending service life.

A wide range of rubber shell materials are customizable to match diverse conveying media: NR natural rubber for clean cold water; EPDM 三元乙丙橡胶 for hot water, HVAC, sewage and weak acid/alkali media; NBR nitrile rubber for oil and fuel pipelines; PTFE-lined rubber for strong acid, strong alkali and corrosive chemical fluids. Corresponding flange standards include PN6, PN10, PN16, ANSI 150LB, DIN and GB standards to match global piping requirements.

This joint serves multiple core functions simultaneously: firstly, it absorbs mechanical vibration transmitted from water pumps, fans and compressors to cut pipeline noise and avoid resonance damage; secondly, it offsets pipeline displacement to release internal thermal stress, protecting valves, meters, pumps and other precision equipment from crack or fracture; thirdly, its elastic sealing surface eliminates rigid connection gaps to stop medium leakage completely.

Installation is convenient and efficient. It adopts flange bolt connection without welding, which lowers on-site construction difficulty and shortens project cycles. No extra anti-corrosion coating is needed for the rubber body, and the lightweight design reduces overall pipeline load. It operates steadily under medium and low pressure working conditions, suitable for long-term continuous running in water supply & drainage, central air conditioning, fire protection, chemical, metallurgy, power plant and sewage treatment industries.

Compared with metal expansion joints, the double sphere rubber type features lower cost, better shock absorption, stronger anti-corrosion capacity and simpler maintenance. No regular anti-rust treatment is required, and damaged rubber bodies can be replaced separately without cutting the whole pipeline, greatly reducing later operation and maintenance costs.
