Key Construction Features
The hose consists of a precision-wound, corrugated 304 or 316 stainless steel outer braid over a flexible metal core. A thick, smooth-bore PTFE liner is integrally formed inside the core, providing a non-stick, inert barrier that protects the metal from corrosion and prevents product contamination. Both ends are equipped with fixed or loose stainless steel flanges, conforming to ANSI, DIN, or JIS standards, ensuring leak-tight, vibration-resistant connections.
Performance Advantages
The PTFE lining offers outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, alkalis, solvents, and steam, operating continuously from -60°C to +230°C. The stainless steel construction provides high tensile strength, excellent flexibility, and resistance to external mechanical damage. This design effectively absorbs thermal expansion, dampens vibration, and compensates for misalignment in piping systems, significantly extending service life in cyclic or high-pressure applications.
Material Options
For standard corrosive environments, grade 304 stainless steel offers a cost-effective balance of strength and corrosion resistance. For more severe conditions involving chlorides, seawater, or acidic media, grade 316 stainless steel provides enhanced pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The PTFE liner is available in virgin or conductive grades, depending on the electrostatic requirements of the transferred medium.
Typical Applications
This hose is widely used in chemical processing, petrochemical refineries, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage transfer, semiconductor gas lines, and steam tracing systems. It is particularly suited for handling hazardous liquids, high-purity deionized water, heat transfer oils, and cryogenic gases where safety and cleanliness are paramount.
Quality Assurance
Each hose assembly is hydrostatically tested prior to shipment to ensure zero leakage and structural integrity. The PTFE liner is checked for continuity and thickness uniformity, and all flange faces are inspected to meet flatness and surface finish specifications. Custom lengths, flange ratings, and end fittings are available upon request to meet specific installation requirements.
